Welcome!

Thank you for visiting the MAC Region's Theological Education website.

In 2009, 528 professors taught 1227 courses to 3779 students in 207 different educational centers from Mexico to Panama and 250 students graduated in this year.

We are glad for what God is doing among us. All four of the theological institutions of the region with their satellite centers continue “training with excellence the highest number possible of ministers for the extension of God's kingdom.”

Sincerely,

Ruben Eduardo Fernandez
Theological Education Regional Coordinator

Virtual Theological Education Begins with new website: www.nazarenovirtual.net
April 20, 2010

The last few months have been very busy for SENDAS as the administration prepares for the first online course.  The purpose of beginning online courses is to open the door for more students in Latin America and beyond to participate in theological education.

In the month of May, online courses will begin for those who would like to study but cannot travel to one of the Nazarene Education Centers or for those who prefer to take courses from their home or Internet cafe. The first class to be offered is “Introduction to Missions” taught by Professor Dorothy Bullon. The second course is “New Testament I” which will be taught by Dr. Jorge Baños.

Students will have the opportunity to interact with other students from various countries in Latin America.

This project has required much time and effort from many different people working in a team to prepare the webpage, the digital material that students will use, and the recording of videos that direct the students in their classes.

Courses will be offered in the Ordination program and soon after courses in the Bachelor degrees will begin.

What does a student need to start the program?

  • Computer
  • Internet access
  • Basic computer knowledge
  • Discipline, to work independently
  • Desire to learn

Advantages to receiving classes online:

  • Flexibility to study according to your schedule.
  • Reasonable costs.
  • It is not necessary to travel to an Educational Center.
  • All material is online; it is not necessary to buy books.
